Janelle Guido has been competing in the West Coast Swing circuit for the past 10 years and now competes in the Champion division. In 2015, she won the NASDE Jack and Jill Tour and is a recipient of the California Swing Dance Hall of Fame "Nova Star" award. For the past 10 years, she has spread her love of West Coast Swing in the Bay Area to students wanting to learn, improve, or perfect their dance skills. She prides herself on being able to tailor her lessons so that students of all experience levels will always feel challenged while still having fun! Janelle was also a recipient of the Next Generation Swing Dance scholarship so we are so excited to have her teaching at Next Gen.
Amber recently graduated from UC Davis and is excited to get back into West Coast Swing. With first place wins at Sacramento All Swing, Boogie by the Bay, and Swingtacular, she's sure to bring a good time! In 2017 she began teaching West Coast Swing in Redding, CA and since has taken multiple teaching opportunities in the area. She is looking forward to teaching and is ready to bring a comforting atmosphere and engaging class for our next generation of swing dancers.
Tom has been DJing, dancing, competing, and judging for decades. He has an extensive knowledge of West Coast Swing , music and member of All Swing DJs, an international organization of West Cost Swing DJs. Starting many years ago at the Metronome, you might have caught his sets at WnY, DYOS, Capital, and most likely Mission City Swing. He loves to play a mix of current tunes with fun, classic West Coast Swing music.
Hayley was first introduced to west coast swing in 2005 when her parents took her to Stars Ballroom in Novato, CA and has been dancing west coast swing ever since. She attended her first Next Gen dance in 2009 and it quickly became one of her favorite dances to attend. Hayley's love of music led her to start DJing at local venues like WnY, Stoneys, and the Post. She plays a variety of genres including R&B, blues, and soul. Aside from dancing Hayley loves live music, cooking, and traveling.
