Create your own listings on the Calendar!
Anyone can easily add their own event to the Next Gen Dance calendar! It's free and it's pretty easy. Historically, calendar entries were maintained by the webmaster. It had to be that way because the old site was the old technology. Not anymore! The idea is that this is a community website and members are encouraged to contribute and interact, not just take and partake. When we first put the site up, I manually rekeyed all the calendar entries into the new calendar system. With the new website upgrade, we're now able to be more proactive in getting the membership online. So, now you can find your own userid and password to get logged in and create and manage your own entries on the calendar and other places as well. Get Registered on the Site OR Find Your Likely Alreading Existing Account! At this time, Next Gen does not require you to be a paid member in order to post listings on the online calendar. You do however have to be a "REGISTERED USER" of the website. IF you have ever received any communication from Next Gen, you are probably already in our database. The number one question is, "Do we have a good email address on file for you?" If you haven't received any dance reminder emails from us in a long while, we either don't know about you or the email address we had for you is now defunct. In that case, please email our Membership Director at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and let him know your full name and current email address. He'll update our database with your new email address. You can then retrieve your username and password by following the forgot login link. Please Don't Create a New Account if we already know about you! Please do NOT create a duplicate account if you suspect you already have one. WHY? Because we are unpaid volunteers and that means that the membership director will have to figure out the duplicates and manually merge your two accounts. Not fun. Add your own events!Once you are LOGGED IN, you can create new listings and edit or delete any listings that you created. Can't edit OLD Listings? If you didn't create your original event, that means I did. Please copy out and save any description or text that you want to save to a separate document on your computer somewhere, because I'll need to DELETE that listing so that you can recreate it as the new owner. Then you'll be able to manage it henceforth.
