Hundreds of dancers have served as board members, committee members, project participants, and volunteers for NextGen. They have played a crucial role in assuring a brighter future for our Club, our communities and, ultimately, better dance opportunities for all dancers in Northern California. In fact, it is essential to have volunteers for NextGen to function, survive, and serve the community.

There are many positions that are vital to the Club. NO ONE WILL BE TURNED DOWN. Don't be afraid to do something that you have never done before. We want to make your volunteering experience fun and fulfilling.

The volunteer Board of Directors consists of Club members who are nominated and elected by the membership. In addition to the elected Board of Director positions there are many other non-elected Board positions and non-Board volunteer activities:

Club Dance

• Help plan and coordinate dance
• Recruit volunteers to work half-hour shifts at the Club dances
• Work a half-hour shift at a Club dance
• Help with food at a Club dance

Club Convention

• Help plan our convention
• Work at our convention

Information

• Help manage information media
• Contribute articles, photos to the newsletter and website
• Computer, Database, IT Help
