Boogie by the Bay is sponsored by The Next Generation Swing Dance Club, a nonprofit organization founded in 1989 and managed by member volunteers. Our club's mission is to promote swing dancing and to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all dancers at our events.
If you are new to swing dance events, we encourage you to attend some workshops (they are included with your weekend ticket), stay up for late night social dancing, watch the competitions, and maybe try competing yourself in our Jack & Jill and Strictly Swing competitions.
If you are a veteran of dance events, please remember how you felt at your first weekend event and ask some of our newcomers to dance. |

The purpose of Club Night Out (CNO) is to promote West Coast Swing dancing around the Bay Area by encouraging Club members to try different venues, support new dance spots, and celebrate special dance events. Periodically, usually monthly, the CNO coordinator or Board of Directors picks a different place to meet for Club Night Out. |

The Next Gen Swing Dance Club holds our monthly dance on the first Saturday of every month at the Allegro Ballroom in Emeryville. There is usually a contest and always a beginner's WCS class. For more details please see this page for the schedule. |
